McCain Supporter: Kill Obama

Even the slightest scintilla of doubt that this Presidential campaign would not descend into a pit of thick vitriolic allegations, inflated past associations, and a parade of deceptive statements, was removed this weekend when Republican Vice Presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Ak) brought up Obama’s past association with 1960s weatherman Bill Ayers, and Monday resurrected Jeremiah Wright (despite past statements by McCain that he would refrain from doing such a thing in this campaign). The Obama campaign responded by resurrecting the Keating five scandal and McCain’s involvement in that.

This all amidst the backdrop of the Dow Plunging, a credit crisis, and the implosion of the housing market. Not to mention the U.S being entrenched in two wars.

But yesterday it went from ugly to just plain reckless and even dangerous when at a Florida rally this occurred:

Washington Post:

“Now it turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man named Bill Ayers,” Palin said.

“Boooo!” said the crowd.

“And, according to the New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, ‘launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,'” she continued.

“Boooo!” the crowd repeated.

“Kill him!” proposed one man in the audience.

Palin went on to say that “Obama held one of the first meetings of his political career in Bill Ayers’s living room, and they’ve worked together on various projects in Chicago.” Here, Palin began to connect the dots. “These are the same guys who think that patriotism is paying higher taxes — remember that’s what Joe Biden had said. “And” — she paused and sighed — “I am just so fearful that this is not a man who sees America the way you and I see America, as the greatest force for good in the world. I’m afraid this is someone who sees America as ‘imperfect enough’ to work with a former domestic terrorist who had targeted his own country.”

“Boooo!” said the audience.

This campaign is descending into an absolute hate fest, especially on the McCain side. A jacobinical idiot shouts that a U.S presidential candidate should be murdered and the Vice presidential candidate, says nothing. He proposes committing an act of domestic terrorism against a U.S presidential candidate as a response to a few past encounters that a Presidential candidate had with an abhorrent yet obscure radical who committed acts of domestic terrorism? These McCain campaign events seem to now be less campaign rallies and more like witch hunts. Shame on you Sarah Palin and that goes double for the former maverick. He may say country first, but it seems his real attitude is me first, and country go to hell!

Digg!
